Thank You!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support! It's been a busy month; we arrived in South Africa in May and have enjoyed setting up our house. It's been fun to use the things we got as gifts.
We're incredibly grateful for all of the friends and family that traveled to spend time with us while we were home. We were grateful for everyone who was able to celebrate our marriage with us!
Check out our new website, www.marcandkatie.co.za. In addition to our blog and support info, you'll also be able to find our wedding and honeymoon photos!
Blessings from Africa,
Marc & Katie
Back to top Next Step
Our "summer" interns arrived a couple of weeks ago. They spent their first week in local villages doing relationship evangelism and children's ministry. They'll be serving alongside us until the beginning of August. We're excited to see what God does in them AND through them while they're here!
Back to top LaunchPad Graduations
During each school term we offer discipleship classes in local villages. These classes, called LaunchPad, allow students to study topics like Old & New Testament Survey and Foundations of Faith.
Earlier this month our village discipleship program graduated 70 students! Graduations are a time for us to celebrate with our students and praise God for all He has done in their lives throughout the last few months. Here are just a few of the testimonies:
LaunchPad has changed my life very much. After my father passed away I no hope in life because I knew that we had lost a bread winner in our family and my mother had no job. LaunchPad taught me about God and His will so I realized that God has His ways in life, there’s always time for everything. – Dintle
Since I came to LaunchPad I realized that forgiveness is the best medicine to a better life, and I also learned the fruits of the spirit. – Maki
I used to sleep without praying but now I pray at night before I go to bed and it’s all because of LaunchPad; I forgive those who do me wrong so that God could forgive me for my sins. – Dineo
Back to top Snow!!
Sometimes people think we're exaggerating when we talk about how cold it gets here. Here's proof we're not! It snowed a couple weeks ago...
Katie was pretty excited because it snowed on her birthday. It's not too often that June babies get to celebrate with snow.
